Artist profile

Mireille Bourque

Attracted by the painters of the beginning of last century, Cézanne, Chagall, Modigliani, Picasso, she is inspired by their vision and their impressionist approach to compose with her imagination where the human being occupies the central theme and the landscapes are as much of invitations to continue the approach.
The techniques are therefore directly related to her process since she composes with them as if they were human beings and explores their aptitudes to interact according to their character and their moods ... which sometimes also respond to her own.
2014, at the Musée de Charlevoix. Her works are part of private and public collections in Canada, the United States and France.
